Most of my posts are long and wordy, especially when I get on a roll about a topic near and dear to me, like healthcare. This one is really short and sweet, but will say more than most of my longer ones.
This week, my firm posted a job opening for a relatively junior position. Within an hour of the posting, I received an e-mail from a cardiologist friend in his 50s, asking if he could apply. I advised him that it was a junior role and here’s his response:
“Ok, keep me in mind please. Doctor business is dying.”
Next time you think healthcare reform might be going well (OK, I know nobody is thinking that), think about this quote. It should scare you.
